The governor of Cross Rivers state Ben Ayade has ordered all the commissioners aide in the state to wear only clothes made from the Calabar Garment Factory.
Ayade said by June he will also join his over 2,000 aide to patronized Calabar based designers.
He said the purpose of the directive is to showcase his sincere commitment to the state and over 3,000 Cross River state youth working in the factory.
The governor said: "By the close of next month, anything I put on my body will be made from Cross River Garment Factory. That is my sincere commitment to the state and for the 3,000 young people working in the factory.”

Speaking in his office in Calabar during a presentation of some samples of the cloth made by the designers, Ayade his the new factor established by his administration will remain the major fashion industry in Nigeria.
